Our food 2, Daikon –Movie–

This short documentary film is for the Our Food 2, Daikon project. The film features interviews with 5 farmers from Mutsure town, exploring the background of how 4 cabbage farmers transitioned from growing daikon to cabbage, and what has allowed the remaining daikon farmer to continue production. The film presents a dual-screen display, with overlapping and personal memories shared by the farmers. Their commentaries provide insight into the lost scenery of the town, which once existed but is no longer visible today.

大根プロジェクトの、5人の農家へのインタビューを記録した短編動画。なぜ4人のキャベツ農家が、大根からキャベツへと生産作物の転向を行ったのか、なぜ現在も大根を育てる大根農家は、大根を作り続けているのか、それぞれの農家のパーソナルな記憶が折り重なるように、2つのシーンを左右に並べた構成をとる動画となっています。かつて確かに存在した、しかし今は失われてしまったまちの姿が、彼らの言葉から再び蘇ってきます。
