Urbo Kune Generative Drawing
アムステルダムで毎年行われるパフォーマンスアートの祭典、Holland festivalで、2015年に行ったドローイングパフォーマンス。イベントの名前は、エスペラント語で「共有都市」を表す「Urbo Kune」。音楽イベントの行われる25時間の間だけ、ヨーロッパの理想の首都を出現させるというコンセプトに基づき、10人のアーティストが、3×2mの黒板に理想の都市の姿を描きました。私はアーティストの1人として参加し、２つの有機的なパターンが、ある一定のルールに基づき、相互に作用を与え、かつ独立を保ちながら増殖していくドローイングを、理想の都市のメタファーとして描きました。
I created an experimental generative drawing at the "Urbo Kune" performance event at the Holland Festival 2015 in Amsterdam. The event, whose name means "Common City" in Esperanto, aimed to create a temporary utopian capital of the United States of Europe for 25 hours. As one of 10 artists invited to participate, I performed live on a 3x2 meter blackboard, drawing and improvising my vision of an "ideal city." My piece featured two overlapping organic patterns that grew infinitely under specific rules, each maintaining its own generative systems and rhythms. It was an exploration of the idea of two autonomous entities coexisting within the same city.
